House season 8 episode 5 "The Confession" promo
"A man (guest star Bamber) well-respected in his community suddenly collapses, and in the process of diagnosing his symptoms, the team discovers that the patient has been hiding dark and dishonest secrets about his personal and professional life. But when the patient openly confesses his wrongdoings to his family and community, he compromises his chances of receiving the proper medical treatment. Meanwhile, House will stop at nothing to manipulate Taub into taking a DNA test to prove he is the father of his two six-month-old daughters."
Battlestar Galactica's Jamie Bamber guest stars as the patient-of-the-week, Bob. However, the best part of this episode is that Chase and Taub are back, and that's just how the promo for the next House season 8 episode (below) begins. House, of course, has something to say about their returns. He calls Chase and Adams a "cute couple," and when he turns to Taub and Park, he says, "it's not important." Their patient is a family man who decides to confess he had an affair. However, they have to focus on something else: his skin is shedding like a snake. Apparently he keeps telling secrets, and the last one he tells "is a shocker." What could this secret be?
He seems like such a nice guy, but it turns out he's not. Will House and his team be able to save Bob or will he not have to face the consequences of spilling his secrets? Just how big of a secret is he going to reveal to Chase? How will the new team work together? So far it's just been House, Adams, and Park. Chase and Taub are back, but things are obviously going to be different because a year has passed. What has changed? Will House be able to get that DNA test he's looking for while he questions Taub's paternity?
House continues this week with episode 5, "The Confession," of the eighth season, and it's bringing back two familiar faces to the team. How will things go when they meet their new teammates? Will sparks fly?
House season 8 episode 5 "The Confession" sneak peeks
In addition to the promo (here), three short clips have been released from Monday's episode. In the first (below), Chase and Taub join House, Adams, and Park. When Park meets Taub, she remarks that he's "a lot taller" than she had imagined—just how short had she seen him as? His only response is that he looks forward to working with her. How will the new team work together? It looks like it should certainly be interesting to see how Taub and Park match up, and the other two clips show just that.
The second sneak peek (below) shows Taub and Park talking about an "extreme and reckless" procedure, and as he puts it, it's what you have to be used to if you work with House, who just happens to pop in at that moment. He brings in Taub's children and says he wants a DNA sample. He has already tested the children and just needs Taub's. Oh, House. It seems likely that Taub should just give House his DNA or the other doctor will go to great lengths to get it—and these lengths will probably be funny and over the top.
The third and final House season 8 episode 5 sneak peek (below) features Taub and Park with his children in a cheap motel. Park makes it known that they couldn't find a babysitter when they receive looks, and she tells Taub that she couldn't be seen as weak because the woman thought she was a prostitute on her turf. She points out that Taub's obviously older than her to explain what it looks like to others. As Park opens a door to a room, Taub wants to know how old she thinks he is. Though these are only brief looks, it seems like these two working together is going to be pretty amusing.
Last season of House ended with Taub finding out that he was going to be a father... to two children and with two different women. He hasn't popped up yet in season 8, but he will soon, and of course House is going to have something to say about his kids.
