It is believed that Czarsky has interests in several small businesses on Santa Barbara’s West Side, although his affiliations remain unconfirmed. The camera angle leads them to an apartment across the street, where Shawn is about to knock when Gus smells something petroleum-based inside. Shawn then spots a trigger under the door, indicating that someone’s home. As Czarsky is taken away, Shawn apologizes to Lassiter and says he was wrong about the bomb. Juan’s watch was just counting down to the start of a TV program. The bomb squad leader tells Lassiter that there was no bomb in the building. Juan is set free.

After they share eggnog with Juan, Gus tells Shawn, “Don’t you ever, ever ask me to defuse a bomb again.” When Shawn asked Juan in the police car about the bomb, Juan answered him. Shawn then texted the instructions to Gus who slipped into Czarsky’s office, disarmed the bomb, and got rid of it before the police arrived. Gus and Juliet discover that Longmore quit that very morning before Shawn went missing. Shawn had gone to a storage yard to discover that there was a man there welding the bottom of an armored truck. The man happened to be Garth. The group members were estranged for many years, and now have reunited at Diddle’s funeral. Tony and Joon speak to Shawn, recognizing him as the psychic who helped solve murders. Shawn steps in and sings with them. The file is of Chelsea meeting with the bad guys. Shawn tells Lassie that he ought to have been let in on the case from the beginning, since he managed to solve it for them, but Lassie counters that Shawn isn’t a cop and never will be.

Mina, an actress in a stage production of a Bollywood musical, is engaged to Raj, though Raj still has misgivings about telling everyone about their relationship. Things don’t look much better for Mina when she’s nearly crushed to death by a runaway truck. Shawn looks worn out and shows off a note taped to a water bottle: “If your heart rate drops below 150 you DIE.” He also points out a blinking light at the bottom of the exercise machine. But before things turn out for the worst. Gus and Shawn’s client, a pathological liar, has information about a planned assassination. The problem is getting anyone at the SBPD to believe him. During the scuffle that followed Lassie lost his weapon, and had just retrieved it when the lights came back on. Shawn observes that Lassie’s finger isn’t on the trigger, and a door marked “Authorized Personnel Only” stands ajar. Lassiter had gunpowder residue on his hand, and the bullet which killed Chavez came from his gun. He returns home from shopping while they’re there, and Vick is forced to suspend him from duty.
